EXTRAORDINARY STATES OF CONSCIOUSNESS THRU SOUND

SEPTEMBER 2025

This active and visceral workshop focuses on long-form improvised experiments and durational sonic meditations based around a certain theme each week, intended to activate non-ordinary states of consciousness for healing.

Each session will take the shape of a mindful ritual around a particular musical theme (such as: vocal expression against a harmonically pure drone, or trance drumming at high speeds) with time for participants to share what they are hoping to work on or explore, learn about the musical activity we will engage in, durational interactive experiments to explore their intention within the group container, and a share out at the end to integrate the experience. This is an opportunity to go deeper into states of mystical rapture and inner stillness through prolonged sonic experiments.

This workshop is recommended for participants who want to explore non-ordinary musical states for self healing, those working through creative blockages, psychedelic integration, and anyone working with energy that feels stuck or clogged. Extraordinary States offers an extended opportunity to work on your intention (for example: opening the voice, embodying grief, letting go, etc.) in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Prerequisite: established in 1:1 therapy, 21+, experience with meditation

DATES: 3 Wednesdays and 1 Thursday evening in September. We will meet on Sept 3rd 10th, 18th (THURS), & 24th • 6:30pm - 8:30pm

COST: $250 for 4-sessions
